I am a good candidate because: I have directed the Academy as President since EurOK's foundation. Strongly dedicated to the mission of the Academy.
My engagement as member of the EurOK’s Board of Directors will be characterized by: Continue to serve the Academy in making EurOK as the real and unique European Organisation that deals with Myopia Management. It has to become the point of reference not only for Orthokeratology but for every strategy facing the myopic pandemic.
I am a good candidate because: I have had 16 years of experience in orthokeratology, handling with over 500 patients. I am one of the main authors of the European Myopia Guideline (Update and guidance on management of myopia. European Society of Ophthalmology in cooperation with International Myopia Institute) published in March 2021 in EJO. As an ophthalmologist at the Semmelweis University in Budapest, I am responsible for the education, not only of medical students, but in the Faculty of Health Science where I also educate optometry students.
My engagement as member of the EurOK’s Board of Directors will be characterized by: Keeping members up to date with the latest reference data on myopia control. To attend European or international congresses where presentations are necessary to share the experiences of orthokeratology and myopia control treatments.
I am a good candidate because: Already Secretary in AIOK, then EurOK Italian Representative, I have always taken care of the EurOK Academy as Secretary. I know its needs and I believe I can be useful.
My engagement as member of the EurOK’s Board of Directors will be characterized by: To be present at the EurOK activities, Meetings and management.
I am a good candidate because: I have the necessary experience, desire, energy and opportunity to continue spreading knowledge about orthokeratology.
My engagement as member of the EurOK’s Board of Directors will be characterized by: I will continue doing my best promoting science and practice of orthokeratology and myopia control: - to make orthokeratology more effective and safer for patients - to increase number of EurOK members who share EurOK’s values I will protect EurOK’s interests and By-Laws making the organization more strong and powerful.
I am a good candidate because: I'm discreet member of EurOK for a while. I learnt a lot from members and congress for my own practice. I chose to fit orthokeratology lenses only, and I feel Patients need more specialists like us. I'm involved in research and development for a manufacturer. I'm also teaching to students and professional fitters.
My engagement as member of the EurOK’s Board of Directors will be characterized by: I can support EurOK in its development and promote the association to find new members.
I am a good candidate because: My 10 years expertise in the field of orthokeratology, developing the knowledge of fitting in Romania and Hungary. The transnational relation developed during the last 6 years on myopia management that helps bringing together several fitters from Eastern Europe with different levels of knowledge Good communicator and lobbyist for the increase of Myopia Management, by helping new comers to settle a proper myopia management protocol for the conformity and safety of treatment. Energetic personal involvement and believer in the goals of a good and safe treatment for all children that need it.
My engagement as member of the EurOK’s Board of Directors will be characterized by: I am interested in developing new member sections in Eastern Europe Encourage the communication between all EurOK members and not only limited to this area Enthusiastic to bring new solutions to the increase of EurOk as a support platform for all members Supporter of getting together the scientific and the industry for a proper and unified communication and support.
